Lo que significa programar una obra de arte

Para mà en Art-Numeric ha representado la combinación de dos hemisferios, de dos áreas y de dos formas de concebir el mundo, el arte y la ciencia. Con esta unión podemos imaginar un creador-inventor que abarca con su pensamiento el mundo de forma sensible e intelectual pudiendo asà pensar un problema artÃstico de manera algorÃtmica y al mismo tiempo voltear a ver la ciencia siempre con una sensibilidad artÃstica.
A nivel global el desarrollo de los grandes poderes, económicos, bélicos, informáticos, artÃsticos... bajo el manto omnipresente del neoliberalismo nos ponen contra la pared, nos muestran el triunfo del individualismo y de las grandes transnacionales. Nos invitan a abandonar nuestros ideales, unirnos a la gran corriente e intentar pasar sobre las cabezas de los otros para alcanzar un lugar un poquito más alto donde tengamos un poquito más.
Empoderarse en el mundo tecnológico representa utilizar la tecnologÃa para tus propios fines, que te sirva a ti y a tus ideales y no que seas tú el que le sirve a ella y a las compañÃas.
Ver cómo nuestros estudiantes se acercan a la programación y la electrónica desde una visión artÃstica, ver cómo se apoderan de ella y en un par de meses empiezan a crear sus propios programas y a plasmar sus ideas en código de programación me llena de orgullo.
Representa el hecho de que se han empoderado en un lenguaje con el que se tejen los hilos que mueven al mundo de hoy.

What it means to program a work of art
For me, Art-Numeric has represented the combination of the two hemispheres, of the two areas and two forms of understanding the world, art and science. With this union we can imagine a creator-inventor who sees the world thinking in a sensitive and intellectual way and thus being able to ponder an artistic problem in an algorithmic manner and at the same time turning around to see science always with an artistic sensibility.
On a global level the development of the great powers, economic, military, computer, artistic … under the cloak of the omnipresence of neoliberalism they push us against the wall, show us the triumph of individualism and of large multinationals. They invite us to abandon our ideals, join the great current and try to climb over the heads of others to achieve a place a little higher where we have a little bit more.
To empower oneself in the technological world is to use technology to your own ends, that serve yourself and your ideals, and not you who serves technology and business.
To see how our students approach programming and electronics from an artistic vision, to see how they seize it and in a couple of months begin to create their own programs and capture their ideas with programming code fills me with pride.
It represents the fact that they have been empowered by a language with which the strings that move the world today are woven.
